This Will Lift You Up

My daughter Corin often brings my granddaughter London up to my office to visit. She carries her up three flights of stairs and loves to then sit her down on the carpet to let her crawl all the way down to my office.  I’m always waiting outside my door… on my knees too.  She sees me, flashes one of those, “I see you and I’m coming” smiles and starts her long crawl towards me.  Most of the time, I end up crawling towards her, and we meet each other in the middle.  At that point she lifts her hands for me to pick her up.

Maybe you’re having a day, a week, or even a season where you need your heavenly Father to lift you up.  Well, thanks to London,  here’s a few thoughts to lift you…up.

On days when you wanna give up, things may not all add up.  This could be a set-up.  A chance for you to look up…yep, you got back-up.  The One who was raised up wants you too to rise up. So stand up, lift your praise up, and watch the enemy shut up.  And this is just warm-up. One day we’ll end up, the Bible says, “Caught up.”  I wish He would hurry up.  So to wrap up my friends, look up, get up and never, ever, ever give up.  Jesus loves you.

I hope you can see Him this moment maybe kneeling down low to where you are.  Only, He’s the one saying, “I see you and I’m coming.”

Check out this song called Look Up.  Written and sung by a blind man who certainly knows how to look up…spiritually.

Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul?  Why are you crying the blues?  Fix my eyes on God – soon I’ll be praising again.  He puts a smile on my face.  He’s my God.  Psalm 42:11 The Message

“So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!” Luke 21:12
