Jimmy: A Homeless Man’s Wisdom

Some days you just bump into God everywhere. You can see Him and hear Him because He has inexhaustible means of reaching us with the good news of His Son Jesus. This day it was through a homeless man named Jimmy who sat down next to me on a park bench with 2 hot dogs and enough wisdom and insight for me to listen as long as he would stay.

 He prayed so long over his hot dogs that I asked him what he was praying for. He said, “Oh’ I was praying for people. You don’t pray for people when you give thanks for your food?” Well, actually no…but I think as of now, I will. Anyway, I asked him if I could share his story. Enjoy.
