Hit the Refresh Key

Hey Friends,

I hope your week is going great. Sorry I didn’t get to send out an email last week. I had every intent on sending one from Haiti, but things seemed to stay so busy, even from the first minute we touched the ground in Port-au-Prince. More on this later.

Yesterday I was sitting at my computer, and grateful for a few keys in front of me. For instance, a “refresh” key. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to press a button and feel refreshed? How about an “escape” button? Acapulco anyone? By the way, “Wherever you go, there you are.” When I asked a few friends for input, someone said, “Undo” is good button 🙂 “Redo” isn’t bad either. (Most days I need both of those) How about the “Home” button. That’s a good one to keep coming back to. I think God may be partial to the “delete” key. He casts our sin as far as the east is from the west. Psalm 103:12

One wise friend said, “I need to hit “Enter” when Jesus is knockin on my heart and “Shift” when he nudges me to think about things differently than I usually do!” Hmm, I like this insight. And someone please tell me, why do we so often keep our finger on the “control” key? That seems to get us into a boatload of trouble.

Whatever your favorite key is, remember, you can always “reboot.” Second chances are allowed, even encouraged. God’s patience is not like ours. His love is greater, deeper, wider, and longer. Let this sink in my friend.

Again, thank you all for your prayers during my trip to Haiti. That little song is on Haitian radio now. We’re committed to help for the long term.

Still in one Peace,

Stefan Youngblood
